The Atom-CPU is a perfect basis for a low-cost system. It works very energy saving and therfor is perfect for mobile usage. But also can be used as a server, Car-PC or Multimedia solutions.

Ich konnte mir dieses Mainboard von Intel bei einem Arbeitskollegen ansehen und war sofort begeistert, da es leise und stromsparend ist. Unglaublich, was alles in diesem kleinen Atom-Prozessor steckt, dabei ist die CPU passiv gekühlt - nur der Chipsatz braucht einen Lüfter! Windows Vista ist mit entsprechendem Arbeitsspeicher kein Problem (Vista Ready), aber mangels Grafikpower unter Aero nicht für Spiele zu gebrauchen. Gute Einsatzgebiete sind mit Sicherheit Anwendungen wie Network Attached Storage (NAS) oder kleinere Webserver. Ich denke aber, dass die wenigsten dieses "low-end"-Board nur zum Surfen benutzen werden, da der Bastelfaktor doch recht groß ist :-)

kleines Motherboard, 17x17cm, viele schnittstellen (IDE/SATA/Lan100/USB2/VGA/parallel/Sound/PCI). Prozessor Passiv gekühlt, Bridge mit 40mm Lüfter. Dieser macht deutlich zu viel Lärm (hohe Umdrehungen, schlechter Lüfter). Dazu leider nicht wie der Systemlüfter über BIOS regelbar (?!!). Läuft immer volllast. Stromverbrauch OK, Motherboard + DVD-Laufwerk + 250 GB IDE + 1000der PCI-LANkarte ungf. 40W, Start ungf. 47W
