After two travels, does no more work properly: gives less than 12 v, even connected on the main cigarette lighter, so that the dispay is very poor lightning, and becomes unuseable..., and it does no more survive motor cranking; so, the PC reboots when i start the motor.it has well worked only 6 months;
now, it is very better and much lower price to have an Asus R2h in car, with integrated GPS, touchscreen mini folded keybord, TNT TV etc...
With this Asus in my Landcruiser, i've travelled from CapeTown to Zanzibar without any troubleshooting, on 12 000 kms, with 11 000 of bad tracks.
I cannot write the same with the CarPC....

I bought it to drive in the Sahara, with my Toyota LandCruiser HDJ80

I bought it to drive in the Sahara, with my Toyota LandCruiser HDJ80 ; it worked good enough, just during the night; in the daylight, and with the vision angle from driver seat, you do not see anything; it is very expansive, compared with the quality of an complete Tablet PC Asus R2H, fitted on windscreen with a RAM dobble succion cup, it's what i use now; and , overthere, in the Asus, there is a battery, and i have no more any problem with motor cranking and hanging PC, that i had with the Car PC.
Another nice solution seems to be an LE 600 or LE700 Motion Computing Tablet PC with ViewAnywhere screen, and solid state hard disk...
