Hi,

Few months ago I bought a CID700M TFT monitor, it was working very good and the quality as a touchscreen was good, the sound as an amplifier was less than poor, but anyway it was OK. After 2 months problems started to come on, the touchscreen was disconnected and connected all the time so no touchscreen when you needed...!!

After two weeks of this problem, a more serious came. Device wasn't working at all. That means that ita was powered correctly, all the lights was correctly on but no radio sound was coming out, when the monitor was operating the sound still wasn't working. I couldn't change the volume since it was blocked to the volume before open the screen, and also i couldn't change the source!!!

I made an RMA and send it back.

Got the new one and installed it. I was very happy with this until almost 2 months and 4 days now the screen has exacltly the same behaviour as the first one.

It is doing the same symptoms, like deja vu.

the 2nd day that this happens, I remove the battery from the car so no power on it (kind of device reset), when the power came the device was working good until the other day which had the same problem.

I done again the battery trick. But this time does not work.

Done it again one day after but nothing.

Now the screen is working as touchscreen, it can change the souce, but no sound is coming out.!!

This is my problem.

The biggest is to install it again when something new will come from service department since it is the most difficult part of the whole installation.

I hope to have an answer to my problem or a workaround solution without uninstalling the device.

Thank you

Michael

Could you describe your pinning like how you connected teh screen into your car?

Have you got an sound output to your CID700? (try it with earphones)

What voltag have you got at the pinning of your monitor?

how long is the distance between your CarPc and the Screen? (cables)

Th screen was working for 2 months, also the previous, so no pinning problem or connection problem or cable problem.

I didn't had the chance to get the voltage of the monitor, but the Satellite Alarm that I have on my car reports me for 12,1V. I will try to get the voltage during weekend.

No sound is coming out even from the headset output on the screen.

So I have a screen working but without sound coming out, only interference sound is coming out from the speakers. Probably a grounding problem of my carpc because it is only doing it when it is connected on it. I will ground it on weekend.

Is anybody out there who has the same problem??

Hi Michael,

now I do have the exact same problem. I was last week in hollidays, as i came back and needed the carpc for navigation the screen doesn't respond to anything (no screen display when open, even no clock display when colsed, no sound output..). I also tried the "Battery Trick" but no chance it dos nothing anymore. Just the background light (when closed) is on. I also tried the remote controll to power it up but nothing..... any ideas????

Welcome to the club florian

Sorry for saying something like this, but as I told before this was the second screen with the almost the same problem.

And now I am thinking , what should I request from cartft. To replace it with the same, or to replace with another model.

I am very sad because really I liked this model, either for the radio support or for even the poor quality amplifier.

The worst thing is that I am so tiered for just thinking the installation of this thing. for 1cm got me almost 1 hour to fit it, because my car does not have enough space behind the dash, my hands was scratched for days after the installation!!!! It was like a wild chic or a cat was showing the power of their neils!!!! Smile

I am planning tomorrow to remove it and send it back.

I hope that 3rd time I will be much more lucky Smile

Wish you the same too, and all the others that have same problem.

Hi Michael,

succeeded the uninstallation of your screen? Inform me about the Shocked third Shocked one pls. *ironic on* "surprisingly" *ironic off* I will have the same work tomorrow. I hope my first RMA request will successfuly solve this problem. As the screen worked I was realy happy with it the "quote" poor quality amplifier "quote" was no reason for me because of my highfonics amp in the back Cheesy.

greetings

Hi Florian

finally I got few minutes to uninstall the screen from the car. It was a nightmare, all these cables coming from a small opening in the back side of the "hole". Anyway I managed to get it out and today I will send it back.

I really hope that third will be the last!!

Hi to everybody

On Thursday I got the third (replaced) tft monitor!!! Opening the package I found the front cover broken in the inside small notches that holds it in the main body frame of the screen. I said OK, never mine, it is not worthing for complains. I will glue it with glue tack or a drop of silicone and everything will be OK.

Two hours on Saturday got to install the new screen. One hand again with lot of scratches.

Before I install I made some checks to see if the screen is working. I found OK. Two hours and the way we go...

I open the screen, turn on the PC, everything was OK. I tryed to made the calibration, during writing to the controller I go an error "EPROM cannot be accessed" something like this. I tryed 2-3 times more, the same message. Finally after 2-3 more tries the screen was OK.

I went to the new house very happy and satisfied since I could listen to my favorite music, run the navigation ,...

Living the house after 4 hours when the car PC was on, I tryed to click on the screen but nothing. Turned off/on the PC, maybe was Windows. Nothing. Change the USB plug to another , maybe it was from the USB Hub. Nothing. Left as it was and I started getting frustrated.

Today I made a test maybe it was something that was blocked but nothing.

The message now that is coming up when the USB plug is connected is "USB device is malfunctioned... blah blah blah".

Bravo, Great Quality. Third screen and the problems are still.........

I am really tired from this.

My old Xenarc is still working after hundrets of hours, with no problems tons of dust, high temperatures, low temperatures, it is there, WORKING.

I do not suggest anymore this screen to anyone. I want to suggest it to some friends of mine and use my front end, but now,

NO I AM NOT GOING TO DO IT.

Have a nice weekend

Hi Michael,

sorry to hear such bad news from your third installation. Last week I received my RMA - screen too an yesterday I installed it. As I opened the package I was looking at a new original packed monitor (powersupply was ok so i got it back). As I opened the cable fixer at the backside I was supprised. It looked like someone drove over the USB- and the VGA-connector. Than after an closer look I saw some scratches at the front-panel of the screen. Normaly this would be a reason for me to send it back, but I had no musik in my car for such a long time that I installed it,Same workingtime like you had (2h) and a scratched hand later. I open the screen, turn on the PC, everything was OK. And it is still OK today. But I will only be happy if the screen is still working after a fiew months.

Have a nice weekend

Thank you Florian for your wishes.

one week with the screen. I found the problem with the USB or with the screen. I don't know I will leave it as it is, just to make some tests.

1. The USB touchscreen wasn't working and I was getting an error message "Mulfunction ...". FIXED. This is normally a power problem. The screen has a USB Hub and probably it is powerless. I made a trick with it and I use a USB extender cable with amplifier. AND IT IS WORKING!!!! Old monitors was using the normal cable without extension. But anyway it is working.

2. I noticed that on hot days the USB was going ON-OFF every 5 seconds, you know it is doing this very pleasand sounds when a USB device is attached to the system.

Last days the screen is working OK, we don't have hot weather these days.

I hope that it will continue working for the next days, weeks, months, years, ...

Sorry guys from CarTFT to say bad things about your products, but my experience is really horible, but your service (RMA) is very very good.

But anyway, wish me luck, I am going to need it.

Michael
