I want to connect two cameras to my CID650. Composite input is there, but how do I select them?

The only control input I've found is the blue "rear view" wire.

Will both inputs be active simultaneously?

What levels do I use?

BR, Blof

Btw. The second camera is front-side view.

I've just learned that pressing the 'mode' button on unit or remote will switch between AV1, AV2, Radio and VGA.

Does this mean that the backup wire when activated will switch in AV1 independent on mode state?

At what level is backup wire active?

The reason I am asking and not just trying is because I am still working on my desktiop simulating car. (power ignition etc)

I have one additional question about the CID650

I don't get VGA. LCD panel is just black.

I've taken my CID apart (see picture with camera AV input) but I suspect the problem is because I do not have a power-on button!

This is the second CID I've converted like this and the first one fired up just by turning on power. I can see that this CID is of a new revision, there is a relay on the main pcb that was not there before. Since the DVD is without power I therefore suspect that the monitor cannot be turned on with ignition key anymore. Is that true?

In case someone is following this story I though I'd update with my latest findings.

I now have VGA! In order to make the mainboard small I had removed the tuner module. This caused the MCU to hung. I soldered the tuner back in and voala, VGA.

I still do not have a working remote control though. Is this a common problem??

My carputer also have problems finding the DVD. I think that has nothing to with the monitor.

I think I have seen problems due to insufficient power, but still over 11 Volts. Is this a common problem??
