Simple, but efficient : With this enclosure you take full advantage of the small form factor of the Intel DN2800MT Half-Height mainboard. And with its dimensions of only 199x180x39mm it has, with an internal volume of less than 1.4 liters, room for one 2.5" harddrive or SSD drive. The enclosure can be operated fully fanless with the Intel DN2800MT even under full load in continous operation.
The enclosure also can be equipped with other Thin-ITX mainboards.

- Stand
- VESA screws for installation on TFT/LCD/Plasma/... with VESA-100 drilling.

Gut gefertigtes Gehäuse, ich halte es für zukunftsfest da auch andere Boards mit verschiedenen Rückwandlayout reinpassen.
Pro :
- bezahlbar
- universelle Frontanschlüsse
- stabiles Stahlblech
- Kühlschlitze sivnvoll angebracht
- sehr kleine Baugröße
- Sowohl die USB- als auch die Tasterplatine sind leicht wegzuschrauben um nachzuarbeiten (Z.B. zum LED wechseln)
- Ein/Austaster gut gelöst
- Einfach auch an einer Wand zu befestigen
Contra:
- Der Lack ist zu spröde und platzt bei mechnischer Bearbeitung flächig ab.(Bohren etc.)
- Die blaue Frontled ist für Schlafräume zu hell.
- Resettaster zu groß und zu nahe am Ein/Austaster. (Verwechslungsgefahr)
- Lötstellen der Frontplatinen bleiben unterm Stand der Technik, sind aber nachlötbar.

Das Gehäuse passt gut und ist sicher eines der kleinsten am Markt. Die Montage erfordert wenig Know-How; die einzige Verwirrung entsteht durch abweichende Farbcodierung der anzuschliessenden Stecker. Wer sich blind darauf verlässt, dass ein Gehäuse speziell für das Intel-Board DN2800MT, dann auch die Farbcodierung der Stecker 1:1 übernimmt, macht was falsch. Die Beschriftung der Stecker ist gut lesbar und auch richtig. Bei meinem Gehäuse war eine Lötstelle am Front-Panel schlecht, so dass der Power-Switch nicht auf Anhieb funktionierte. Da mir das angebotene RMA-Verfahren zu aufwändig erschien, habe ich das schnell selber repariert.
Die recht soliden Blechteile sind nicht wirklich hübsch und waren auch etwas verbogen. Zusammen mit dem Kabelfehler also klare Abzuüge bezüglich der Qualität.
Zwei Punkte, die mich persönlich stören sind die zulangen Kabel zum Front-Panel und die extrem helle blaue Power-LED. Wer einen lautlosen Rechner für einen Wohn- oder Schlafraum plant, der 7x24h laufen soll, der wird von dieser grellen LED schnell genervt sein.
Trotz der kritisierten Punkte würde ich das Gehäuse erneut kaufen.

Ich habe dieses Gehäuse gekauft, da es von der Größe (Volumen) einem Thin Client gleich kommt und das bei einer leistungstechnisch besseren Ausstattung. Das Gehäuse ist dank Vollmetallausbau sehr stabil, doch sehr schlicht gehalten. Es ist daher meiner Ansicht nach optisch nicht für das Wohnzimmer geeignet und nur für den Arbeitsbereich einsetzbar, wofür es aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach auch gedacht ist. Die Verarbeitung lässt auch auf Industrieklasse zurück schließen, weshalb ich unter Anderem einen Stern abziehe. Das Mainboards, sowie die Festplatte lassen sich auf's Einfachste montieren, doch können die Anschlusskabel des Gehäuses für die LEDs, Taster und Front Audio, da das Gehäuse schließlich speziell nur für dieses Intel DN2800MT Half-Height Mainboard gedacht ist, entsprechend etwas kürzer sein. Noch als positiv anzumerken ist der stabile Standfuß, was nicht selten anders ist.
Noch einmal zusammengefasst:
Positiv:
- VESA Mount möglich
- stabiles Vollmetallgehäuse
- kleinstes Volumen für Mini-ITX
- stabiler Standfuß
- für Industrie geeignet
- günstig
Negativ:
- schlichtes Design (Gehäuse, Taster, Anschlüsse, LEDs)
- teils zu lange Anschlusskabel
