The CID650 Display for the Doppel-DIN-slot has some exiting features :
- Built-In Slot-In DVD drive, which gets connected with your carpc via USB.

Nice looking unit and thats about it.As a pc monitor its top class.What I didnt like about the unit is the that you can't play cds or dvds without having the pc on.Also the user interface is very poor.When the radio is on the only thing visible on the screen in is the frequency,and its got no pre-amp outs.Its alot of money to pay for a unit that lacks features that 1 150 euro unit from china has.(without the vga input)On the plus side the VGA screen is top class.

I want to use 6 buttons of bottom side of panel for application launcher.

Alles in Allem ist das ein gutes Gerät. Was allerdings nervt, ist das nicht vorhandene RDS (was bei einem Gerät dieser Preisklasse eigentlich drin sein sollte), der nicht vorhandenen Line Out (schwierig an Verstärker anzuschließen) und der Lüfter.
Zum Thema Lüfter:
Dieser ist im kalten Zustand extrem laut und nervig (scheint schlecht gelagert zu sein). Sobald das Gerät Betriebstemperatur erreicht, bläst er normal (ist aber immer noch recht laut).
Es handelt sich um einen 25x25x10mm Lüfter, 12V, 0,09A.
Da mir der Lüfter zu laut war, habe ich ihn nun ausgetauscht gegen einen 30x30x10mm Lüfter. Das geht, wenn man die Aussparung, in der der Lüfter sitzt, etwas bearbeitet (z.B. mit einem Dremel). PLatz ist genug vorhanden.
Aber Achtung, die Garantie geht dabei natürlich verloren!
Die Touchscreen-Funktion ist ok, das Radio hat etwas schlechten Empfang.
Die mitgelieferten Kabel sind zu kurz, wenn man seinen Car-PC im Kofferraum verbaut hat (außer man fährt einen Smart, da könnte es so eben reichen... ;-) ).
Daher 3 Sterne für das Gerät, da es für die gebotenen Funktionen etwas teuer ist.

The fan is extremely noisy (seems to turn extremely fast) and if you check the back it is extremely hot. Based on that it was already obvious that the lifetime will be short.
It is impossible to control the Front % Back Volume.
Few months after; some front button has stopped working
1 Year after, the fan was dead, I have replaced it (and noticed few stupid things: the fan is ridiculous, some ship are extremely hot, if you touch it 1/10s you are burned at the second level. Experience inside) with a bigger one, 6 month the sound stopped working and finaly 1 month after, the screen was dead. => 600? to the trash
The conclusion is simple, the design as been botch up by an amateur.
Note: All of that as been increased due to hot country.
